WE DON'T JUST TRANSFORM PEOPLE'S HAIR WE CHANGE LIVES Agnes's Frontal Fibrosing Alopecia Story

“Having the Enhancer System has made me feel like myself again”

Agnes, age 68

Losing her hair was very traumatic for Agnes, as it is for so many women. She has always been a very sociable person and someone who takes a great care in her appearance. But when she started losing her hair… she also began to lose her identity.

“I know it’s not a life-threatening condition, but it feels like you are losing part of your womanhood.”

Agnes went to her doctor and was given a steroid foam to massage into the areas of her scalp which were balding. But over the next nine months, the condition progressed and Agnes found it very hard to come to terms with.

“I didn’t want to go out, I didn’t want anyone to see me. It made me so depressed.”

“I would wake up in the morning and it would be the first thing that came into my head. It affected my life and it affected my husband as well. He was treading on egg shells, not sure of what to say to me. Every time I looked in the mirror I’d burst into tears. My doctor put me on anti-depressants because I was worrying, crying and I wouldn’t go out because I imagined everybody was looking at me.”

At her lowest point, Agnes was referred to a hair consultant who recommended Hair Solved in Glasgow to her. Nowadays, thanks to her Enhancer System, she is back to her old self and enjoying life once again.

“When I put my make up on, get myself dressed up and fix my hair I feel like myself again. In fact they tell me I look ten years younger!

You sleep in it, you can shampoo and condition it and you can blow dry it. Without this system I don’t know what I would have done. I would have just become housebound and so depressed.”

“I want to thank all the people at Hair Solved who helped me because it is just wonderful. They have compassion, sensitivity and they are trained so well. I am just getting to know them all and you can build a rapport and ask for the same staff.”
