Paula's Enhancer System restored her confidence
Paula’s hair loss hair story began 12 years ago, when she noticed thinning to the top of her head.
Here, she has been kind enough to share her experiences and answer a few questions about the impact of hair loss and the difference that her Hair Solved Enhancer System has made to her life.
Do you know what caused your hair loss?
“I was diagnosed with Lupus about seven years ago [Lupus is a long-term condition that causes joint pain, skin rashes and tiredness].
Hair loss is a common side-effect of Lupus, especially for women.
The specialist told me that my hair is never going to grow back because my follicles are permanently damaged.
When I was told that I thought ‘oh my god, what am I going to do?’.”

What impact did hair loss have on your life?
“I have always had nice hair, and everybody has always complimented me on it from being young, because my Mum was a hairdresser. So, I always had nice hair, always light blond, lovely. When it started to fall out, I was really depressed about it.
I was losing all my confidence. I actually thought I am never going to be able to go out again, I am never going to go swimming… all these things that you take for granted when you have hair.
I didn’t even like going on holiday with my family because I would be the one sat at the side of the pool and not wanting to go in because if my hair got wet everyone would see my bald patch. It became a massive issue.
For a while my hair did keep growing back, but then I was losing it again. For me that was embarrassing, because people were noticing that it was getting a lot worse and that hit me because I thought I can’t hide it anymore.
My closest friends could see that it was becoming a real problem for me. They wanted to club together to get me a really expensive wig.
But I told them that I didn’t want a wig, mainly because I didn’t want my husband to see me waking up with no hair.”

Do you think there is still a stigma attached to female hair loss?
“Yes, I do think there is a bit of stigma for women with baldness. It’s because women are supposed to have nice hair and like looking glamourous – and they always say if your hair looks OK then everything else is fine. But if you have hair loss, you do get looks and I think people probably think ‘why don’t you do something about it, why would you not get a wig or something to cover it up?.”
How did you discover Hair Solved?
“I got quite depressed and low about it and I cried a lot to my Mum, who is sadly no longer with us. She could see how depressed I was getting about my hair, so she did an internet search for ‘female hair loss’ and found Hair Solved for me. She said ‘let’s go here and see what they can do’.”
I had so many compliments about my hair on my wedding day.
What difference has your Enhancer System made to your life?
“I don’t feel like I’ve got hair loss any longer because my system has become a permanent fixture and it’s an everyday thing.
This is my hair now and I love it.
I can have it in plaits, I can have it up in bunches, I can curl it… I can do anything with it.
When I had my wedding last year, I had so many compliments about my hair.
People don’t know I have the system, and a lot of my friends came from far afield and many of them said, ‘oh my god I wish I had hair like you’.
In fact, one of my friends sent me a message saying, ‘I wish I had hair like you LOL, mine has gone a bit thin and mad over the last few years but yours looks absolutely beautiful – I think I need you to find me your hairdresser’.”
Can you identify with what other women have said… that the Enhancer System has changed their life?
“One million percent, one million percent. It is mine, it is my hair, nobody knows any different and nobody will. It defines me as a person now. My hair is lovely, and I really love it. It really is life changing.

What has the experience been like for you at the Hair Solved salon?
“The girls at Hair Solved are just the best. They are sort of like your ‘hair’ best friends. People are sat at the side of you with the same issues. We have a good laugh and everybody chats – I have always loved going.”

“Natural. Beautiful. Mine.”
